Get ready to say goodbye to the weeknight dinner blues and hello to a world of culinary wonder, all thanks to the amazing Cornish hen. Let's get cooking!
Ingredients
Two Cornish hens
Green seasoning (see previous post how to make)
Olive oil
Chicken seasoning
Kinders buttery steakhouse seasoning
Garlic and herb seasoning
Smoked paprika
Onions
Butter
Clean hens with lemon water and sea salt
Cut out spine to create butterfly effect
Season with all seasonings listed
Pre heat overnight on 400 degrees
Place slices of butter under the skin
Place onions and butter at the bottom of your cast iron pan
Place hens directly on top
The excess seasoning from mix keep and pour in one cup of water and mix in
Cover tight with aluminum bake for one hour
Uncover base hens , cover and bake for an additional hour
After one hour remover cover and pour out some of your juice into a bowl adding in about 3 tablespoons of butter
(Keep to the side )
Place hens back in oven (consistently basing ) until hens are golden brown and fully cooked through
Serve and enjoy
